Documents, tags and settings
Contracts, certificates, invoices: each property keeps its own paperwork. Tags come in two kinds, one to organise money and reminders, one to organise documents.
Documents
Open the property’s Documents tab and click Add Document. Choose the file, give it a name and a date, and add document tags; typing a new name creates the tag on the spot. A transaction can point at a document as its receipt, and the document shows which transactions use it.
Two kinds of tags
Tags go on transactions, charges and reminder templates. They decide which charges a reminder lists and how the transaction report is grouped, so keep them few and meaningful: rent, utilities, maintenance, insurance. The rent tag is built in. Document tags are coloured labels only for documents, so the many you may want there never crowd the short list above.
Account settings
Both kinds of tags are created, renamed and deleted under Settings → Account settings. The same page holds the subscription, the default currency that totals and reports are shown in (changing it converts every transaction, for everyone on the account) and the users who share the account.
Your data, leaving and closing the account
On the same page, the Your Data card has two buttons. Download your data downloads everything on the account as a zip file: the data as JSON, with the files stored with it. Close the account deletes the account and everything in it, for everyone who shares it, and cancels the subscription. It asks for your password first and cannot be undone, so download your data before if you want a copy.
To leave an account others share without deleting it, open User settings and click Leave under Leave the Account. Only your own user is deleted; the last user of an account closes it instead.
When a trial or subscription ends, the account is locked but keeps its data for a year, and the page it shows has the same two buttons, so you can take your data or delete it without subscribing again. After that year it is deleted, and its users get an email before. The privacy policy has the details.
